Propaganda for Kids!

Parents are always looking for something for their kids to believe in. Just look at how children everywhere believe in the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, the Easter Platypus, etc. These beliefs are reinforced by their more knowlegable parents, who can fib excuses to reinforce their childs belief. What happens when the parent is not qualified enough for a myth like 9/11? How do you create a fun story from the events of 9/11 to stir your child to a false sense of rabid patriotism?

Good news to parents is that you don’t have to create the story. Our US government has made available a wonderful graphic adaptation to the 9/11 Commission Report entitled “The 9/11 Report.” This comic book retelling of the events of 9/11 is even more fun than the official story, and even jabs at the first responders a little bit for good measure.

Your 5 year old will be rolling on the floor with laughter when one firefighter, hears the faint, distant thunder of the collapse of the second tower, and his partner states “You’re always hearing something.” (page 94. On the facing page, the damaged area of the remaining tower is shown in red as a helicopter pilot observes that the building should not be standing. He is proven right when it collapses. A statement next to the image states that it was “glowing red” and might collapse.

But, aside from the innocent mocking of the people who died to save the lives of people trapped in the towers, this comic will inform your children about geography, fabricated history starting from the 70’s up to 2006, who the terrorists are, and much more. After reading this comic, I found myself believing that Bin Laden never had any ties to the US government, and that buildings can collapse outside of their own footprint using jet fuel and paper. the 9/11 Report is an excellent addition to anyone’s library.

UK citizens urged to report speeding

Daily Mail is reporting that UK citizens are being encouraged to call the police when they see someone speeding. After the second time that person is reported, the police visit the offender. A third time and they will keep a special eye out for him.

The means by which this speeding will be judged is by eyesight, making it entirely subjective. Congradulations UK- you continue to lead us in tyranny.

Obama discusses energy plan with T Boone

Obama met with oil billionaire T Boone Pickens to discuss his energy plan. Pickens energy plan involves ignoring the Alaska oil, and switching to natural gas and windmills for all our energy. These windmills will be contained in a corridor stretching from Canada to Mexico, involving the government forced eviction of anyone living there.

Christians ignore Christian candidate, decide over

Christians everywhere are deciding which evil unpatriotic candidate they should vote for in November. Meeting in Rick Warren’s church, the candidates answered questions about how Christian they are and why the Church-goers (sorry, I can’t, in good conscience, call all of these Christians, including Rick Warren) should vote for them instead of the other — or Chuch Baldwin.

France: Russia leave or else… something.

France issued an ultimatum to Russia on Sunday, while other nations increased their verbal pressure on Russia. France is offering a cease-fire agreement while stating that there will be “serious consequences.” Sources inside the French government have informed me that these consequences could be as serious as more ultimatums and cease-fire agreements until the Russians get tired, or the French give them what they wanted anyway.

Such ultimatums and threats against Russia, who is simply acting in defense while in Georgia, are rather foolish and are reminiscient of Europes past dealings with Nazi-Germany, the only difference being that we started it first this time.

It was inevitable. CBS news in Chicago is reporting on various TSA screening incidents such as women being forced to remove nipple rings in public. They will continue to do this until someone stops them.

Texas Investor: $300 Oil

Scaring the public with $300/barrel oil predictions , T. Boone Pickens tours the US promoting his plan to avoid this: cars run gas, all electricity produced by wind power.
Where will the US get all this wind power from? Wind farms, built along a path in the US that stretches from Mexico to Canada. The land the wind farms will be built from will be seized from citizens using eminent domain.

“I think we’re talking eminent domain,” Pickens told reporters after the hearing, referring to the practice in which the government sometimes seizes private property with monetary compensation. He said bringing the power to the coasts would take an effort similar to former president Dwight Eisenhower’s building of the national highway system during the Cold War. Reuters.com
