Police block Section of NH 10
According to local accounts, Police in the Swanzey, NH area pulled over a driver who responded violently, injuring one officer. The officer then shot and killed the driver. According to the Union Leader (http://bit.ly/1C2B00), the incident was drug related, but some details are contradictory and sketchy at the moment.
Police at the scene would not comment, but only said there would be more information in the morning, and that no civilians were allowed in the .8 mile stretch of Route 10. Route 10 was block from as early as 8pm Saturday evening, from Kempton Road through the South end of Westport Village Road, in Westport NH. A few cars were seen attempting to travel through the closed off area, but were detoured by the police.
Locals also noted that Police responding to the scene were driving fast and recklessly, nearly colliding with a pickup truck.
