I keep reading nonsense that the Vista sidebar is a rip off of Tiger’s Dashboard. I remember the Longhorn sidebar long before Tiger was announced. As a matter of fact, I was beta testing .Net server (which later became 2003 server) when I was looking at screenshots of Longhorn. Just around that time, I got to go to Macworld NY, and saw the release of Jaguar, and got a copy at a teacher conference later that year.
apathetic nigerian scammers
A recent email from prince whatever, from Nigeria, shows a small financial situation. Now, all the psychic readers know that he even offered me a small cut of the money. Being a poor college student, I offered to help in other ways, but I got no reply. I think the Nigerians are becoming apathetic? There goes my get rich quick thing.

Because I have a reseller account that is idle, I am offering free DNS hosting. What do you have to do to get it? Just comment on this page, and I will psudo-randomly select who gets it. Oh, and it is just until February.
Debt of Doom
Well, it looks like I just hit below broke ;). After paying bills today I realized a few very important truths.
- Don’t co-sign for anyone. Ever. No matter who, or what.
- Don’t lend anyone your credit card to anyone for any reason. Even if they promise to pay.
- Don’t get student loans; they will keep you from attending school.
- DO NOT let anyone sign loan papers for you.
- DO keep tabs on your credit report.
The above mistakes just cost me a few thousand over the past few months. No, it is not fun. I just put college on a 4 year hold to pay the bills (I withdraw Monday).
Taking a break, Part II
Ok, so I decided not to (Take a break).
I just had to comment on today’s MWSF just because Apple got new Intel machines. I personally don’t like it, but they are faster and its all IBM’s fault. They also have dumb names (MacBook Pro).
Anyway, Apple’s inspired me to make some switches. I use a Dvorak keyboard now and will exclusively make the switch soon. Also, Google Ads may be nice, but they don’t pay. I am now switching over to the ones Samantha Burns is using. If you like what you read, please click an ad. Samantha might want to escape boredom, but I want a MacBook Pro (Well, sans stupid name ;) ). Well, practically, I need to get this nine year school loan of doom paid off so I can go to school. Funny how that works, you never realize a school loan can keep you from school until it does.
