Four Years later

Four years later and we have forgotten.

We forgot what happened that day. We forgot how arrogant we were and “invincible” we felt. We said something could happen, but thought and believed the opposite. We thought we could ban everything that made us feel unsafe, but the bad guys found some way harm us.

We knew when it happened that it was a wake up call, and forgot four years later what that call was.

We forgot about why we fought in Afghanistan. We forgot why we went into Iraq. Despite the success of both campaigns, there are many of us that try to pretend its a Vietnam.

Many of us forgot what happened on 9/11. It is a distant memory for us, to be exploited for our own gain every so often.

“Look what I did on 9/11,” is all to common, and will become more common as the years progress.

Let’s take some time to remember what happened then. Let’s also take some time to remember those who risked their lives for the people who died.
